Tried to feed them today (1st time feeding) & Excellent feeding response.
They were in transit since the early Jan, until a few days back.

I always wanted a Hognose, since last year already.. so I can cross Hognose off my list. ;o)

Mites?

I think my Brong, got mites.
Now Both are under PAM treatment.. Just as a precaution.

Look at the eye sockets, mites love that area..

Here is what i did.
clean the entire cage, hide & water dish with lots of soap, dettol & clorox.
Dry them up, then spray PAM. (Provent-a-Mite), while waiting for the treatment to dry-up.
On the Blood, i gave:

warm bath for 5 mins.
warm bath with mild soap for 1-2 mins.
warm bath with iodine solution 1-2 mins.
dry them up. i moisten a cotton bud with baby oil, and moisten the area around their eyes. As i suspect the mites love the eye socket area.
then, i place them in their treated enclosure.
After 2-weeks, going to repeat the procedure.
In 4-weeks, the treatment is complete. It will be mite-free.

Will update on how the treatment goes..

Crocky. My Female Ball Python

Wow, what a weight she has gain.

Picture back in January 10, 2009. This is 10 days after i brought her home.
Weight: 162-grams.
She was with an owner, who only feed her very rarely. Once she forget to feed for 3-mths.

Here she is Yesterday.
Date: December 29, 2009.
Weight: 1093-grams


That is the SAME snake.. woohoo!!

No to Snake Ban. No to s373

That's right there is a bill s373 that would ban the interstate transport of some Boas and Pythons forever! We need to stand up and fight for our rights to keep these incredible reptiles. Snakes are not what they are being made out to be in mainstream media. Even if this bill doesn't effect you directly you do not want the next animal bill to hurt the animals you love. This is BEFORE. I started breeding them in April-2009.
see the top of the cabinet, the container with tissue hanging. I started with 3 containers.


In December-2009. It mutiply to this.. over 20 containers. Sorry NOT for sale as my mealworms are gutted with vitamins & minerals.. far more better than the ones selling at the pet shop. LOL.
